Lookout Point Golf and Country Club
A historic club with timeless charm.

Building for the Future of the Game
In 2024, FlightLine was proud to be a key player in the club's most recent renovation, working closely with Superintendent Aldo Bortolon, Ken Malcolmson and renowned golf course architect Ian Andrew. Over 3 months, our team completed a full bunker renovation that respected the club's heritage while introducing improvements for today's game.

Key Features

Over 3 months, our team completed a full bunker renovation that respected the club's heritage while introducing improvements for today's game.

The Better Billy Bunker liner system was installed on all bunkers.
New drainage and Pro Angle bunker sand were added, ensuring durability, consistency, and improved aesthetics.

75 bunkers in total - with 66 fully renovated and 9 filled.
Enhancements focused on visual appeal, playability, maintenance, and performance.

Over 100,000 ft2 (~9,290m2) of bluegrass sod installed
700 m internal 4" drainage and 237 m of 4" N12 solid outlet pipe installed
Strategic mounding & roll-offs built to enhance aesthetics and play strategy
Mounds hydroseeded for sustainable turf establishment
5,700 sandbags made and installed to secure bunker edges
4,000 m2 of BBB liner installed
1,400 tons of Pro Angle bunker sand installed throughout all bunkers

This project was a true collaboration - with FlightLine leading construction efforts, Aldo's and Ken's team providing support, sod watering and on-the-ground knowledge, Lackey Landscaping handling sod installation, and Ian Andrew's vision guiding the design.
The results are refined bunkers using a Better Billy Bunker liner system and restored greens that blend seamlessly with Lookout Point's unique character. Together, these improvements enhance the course's playability, durability, and beauty, ensuring Lookout Point Golf and Country Club remains one of Ontario's finest golf experiences for years to come.
